Wright Angle Studios – the physical home of Wright Angle Productions – will provide a much needed and unique production entity to the rapidly shifting entertainment industry in the Carolinas. These studios offer various options to the extraordinary talent in the ‘New South’. No longer must we depend upon other regions when we can harness all aspects of the entertainment business right here at home in the Charlotte region.
Wright Angle Studios: North Carolina
Wright Angle has established production offices at Creative Network Studios located in West Charlotte. We are excited to work with the amazing team there, creating our own content, as well as collaborating on future projects. We also will begin our workforce development training right there at the studio, and then expand that training with school partnerships throughout the area.
CNS is Charlotte’s best kept secret, a vertically integrated company for almost 35 years managing production from creation to final post for both in- house and outside clients’ needs. It features 18,000 sf soundproofed studios that house Mac editing bays, audio suite, production offices with Fiber Optic internet/WiFi, woodshop, makeup and wardrobe facilities.
CNS is ideally located 10 minutes from Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT), 8 minutes from downtown, and the ideal initial base for Wright Angle Studios. The combination of CNS and Wright Angle will usher in the next generation of production in the Charlotte region.
Wright Angle Studios: South Carolina
Wright Angle has been offered an opportunity to develop space in the Spartanburg Spark Center (The Spark). We will convert this state of the art warehouse into cutting edges soundstages in South Carolina’s up country. With a film school starting at Clemson, the area is prime for Wright Angle to capitalize on Greenville/Spartanburg’s promising new industry.
The Spark is conveniently located between Atlanta and Charlotte, along the I-85 corridor in Duncan, at Spartanburg Community College’s Tyger River Campus. We are excited to partner with the college on our local work force training programs. We will have 24,000 sq ft of beautiful warehouse space with access to loading docks, self-contained offices, ample parking, and additionally will have full access to other training spaces. During our time at the Spark, Wright Angle will explore the city and work with them to select the ideal location for future Wright Angle Studios.
The Future is Now
Pronk Studios in Greenville, SC has an LED wall and Unreal Engine capabilities. This amazing technology transforms the former way of filming all kinds of projects. Wright Angle looks forward to working with them, and has a mid-to-long-term strategy of converting space in Charlotte to house this technology on a larger scale.
AI Assisted Production
AI-assisted production is revolutionizing the traditional landscape of content creation. Wright Angle’s CEO, Charles Randolph-Wright recently directed “The Santa Clauses” on the cutting-edge Industrial Light and Magic Volume stage in Los Angeles, showcasing the transformative potential of such technologies. Our goal is to scale up this game- changing approach in the Carolinas, not to replace human creativity but to augment it. AI will serve as a tool that drives growth and stimulates job creation, empowering professionals to reach new heights of innovation and efficiency in the industry.
